Bursting with Anger on PLDT DSL Service!

Posted by Kayce at 8:20 PM 0 comments
Okay I am officially mad this time and I want to rant about PLDT DSL's lousy service. The first few years of our subscription was quite good but when typhoon Sendong hit out place, their service went from bad to worst. A few weeks after Sendong, I went to their office and told them to reconnect our internet. They said I have to wait for a month since their so called optic fiber and main line was completely destroyed from the flood. They have to order the product abroad. So I patiently waited for more than a month. When I saw their technical team roving around our Barangay, I went to their office and asked if the internet is okay now in our place. They said its okay so I requested for a reconnection. I also told them to transfer the line since we moved to our new house. That took them more than a week to transfer.

We officially had our internet connection last week of January. We were just surprised when suddenly we don't have an internet last week of February until today. Their reason? we haven't paid our bills so I went there and asked. How we were able to know our unpaid bills were in fact we did not received any bills, notice or call!? I asked how much is our payable and the teller told me its more than P3,000 huh!? hello! I told the teller that were one of the flood victims! so they adjusted the bill and made a rebate on it. I payed a total of P2,300. Their technical team reported that our internet was installed last January 26, 2012 but we do have a copy of the service order report dated last January 30, 2012. This means that we just had our internet last January 30. They added the payable from January 26-31, 2012 a total of P253.00. Can you imagine we are paying for the internet even without using it!?

The teller told us that our internet was temporarily disconnected and we have to wait for 48 hours to reconnect our internet. We just have to call their hotline 171 to follow up on our request. I called 5 times already and the customer service usual answer is that we have to wait since they already forwarded this request to the technical staff who are in charge of this service. The question is, how long do we have to wait!? I called for the last time today since its more than 60 hours already. The operator suddenly told me that our line was  permanently got disconnected and it can't be done using the system, the technical team should check it and it would take 2 to 3 weeks to reconnect the internet. Oh! like what?! where's the justice here!!! I already payed them how come they permanently disconnect us! I'm really bursting with anger on PLDT's DSL service.

Find Another Way to Earn Money

Posted by Kayce at 1:37 AM 2 comments
If you're one of Sheriff's blogger, I know you will also received a message were they will be giving preferential treatment to blogs on static IP or Dedicated IP. It means that each blog should have its own static IP and to get this, you need to have separate hosting and dedicated IP for each blog under them.

I am under Mommy Rubz hosting and I need to get SSL with one time payment of $50 and then a static IP at $3 a month. I have 9 blogs under Sheriff so meaning I need to get 9 different hosting for each waaaaaaah! Poor me :( I can't even afford to renew all my domains huhuhu!

We are really financially broke this time since all of our computers from our internet cafe got damaged from Typhoon Sendong and now that I can't rely much on blogging since I can only get few opportunities online, (aside from that fact that all of my PR 2 blogs went down due to un-updated blog posts), I better find another way to earn money to supply our daily needs.

Their Story, Our Story

Posted by Kayce at 10:01 PM 3 comments
This is my entry to the Week 24 of Techie She Weekly Giveaways. This week’s lucky blogger will win $10 Paypal credits from Borris of Humble Opinion.

Its been more than a month since the devastation happened when tropical storm Sendong hit our city but the memory still lingers in our mind. My fellow ka-barangay residents are still keep on talking about their tragic experiences on how they were able to survive the flood. They share their story and we share our story too since all of us are filled with conflicting emotions.

We just can't believe that the tragedy happened in our area. There are many local residents in our place who lived here since their childhood and they never experienced it before. It was the first time that ever happened to our barangay. We shared our views, opinion and anger towards the illegal loggers, mining activities and unresponsive government. We are urging the local government to make an immediate action on dredging of water bodies in the city.

Our thoughts are with the families who lost their loved ones, mostly children and women here in our city and Iligan too. Thousands are displaced. Our properties had been destroyed. No words or deeds will ever be enough to erase the memories of these harrowing nightmare. The lesson that I have learned from this tragic experience is that we must be ready at all times, be safe and be resilient to weather aberrations and its consequences.

No Internet Connection

Posted by Kayce at 5:07 PM 3 comments
One of the main reason why I can't update all my blogs is that I don't have an internet connection yet. Ive been waiting for PLDT MyDSL's connection for more than a month now since their main line here in our place also got damaged from the flood. They said they have to order the so called fiber optic cable abroad and it could take them one month to fully restore their service. Weve transferred from our commercial rented house to our residential house so I asked them to transfer the line to our new address. They already surveyed our place so I do hope that they can reconnect our internet as soon as possible.

I have my SMART BRO plug it internet broadband usb but it takes forever before I could get connected to the internet. It has a very slow connection, its intermittent and unstable. I have to go to a place where the 3G connectivity is fast so I ended up going to an internet cafe so I could go online. Its such a hassle for me since I have to go to the city and find an i-cafe plus the fact that I have to pay for the internet usage. Haaayz! Please PLDT get my internet back! I felt like I'm already lost in the blogosphere for more than a month. Sadness :(

Home Pink Home

Posted by Kayce at 9:43 PM 0 comments
After cleaning all those muddy things that we have which was left from the flood, my family and I are so busy in transferring our things from our rented commercial house to our pink house. We finally slept in this house yesterday. My mom bought this house for my family a few months ago but we did not live in this house yet since it has no furniture and other household items. It doesn't have an internet connection too that's why we still prefer to stay at our i-cafe's commercial house.

But now since all of our computer units got damaged from the flood and we don't have money yet to invest on this business, we decided to move to our pink house and stay here. Although some of the newly bought things here in our pink house got damaged, were still thankful that we still have our old things that were recovered so we were able to use them. Were still a one happy family now that we live in our home pink home.
