Reminiscing those Good Old Days

I just wanted to share to you my friends some photos reminiscing those good old days of my childhood and teenage years. It's really nice to remember while looking back those times when we are still a kid because it has been a part of our life already. 

 

 The dirty kitchen. Oh I miss this one! The firewood where I used to put on a little gas to fire it. And my grandmother always want me to clean that black pan and pot. I was only 6 that time when my grandmother taught me how to cook using a firewood. 

The DeepWell Hand Pump. I remember I was so thin and small then when my grandma asked me  to get a pail of water in using these one. It's kinda hard for me to do it since its quite hard to push and lift in getting the water out. But its fun to do though! 

A old little bridge. Me and my childhood playmates used to go here while walking back and forth of this bridge and we used to go down in the creek and play.

The Forest. Since my hometown was called "The City of Pines", me and my high school friends would also love to stroll in the forest, taking some time to unwind and have a good laugh with them. 

Strolling Around. I just miss this one when I am with my high school classmates and friends. We love to stroll around, buy and eat something and of course looking for some cats! LoL! (you know what I mean) .

My Hometown is Celebrating its Kaamulan Festival

Last week, I had visited my hometown in Malaybalay City, Bukidnon and I had seen so many bazaars particularly some souvenir and native items for sale, fast foods, bar & grill, garden show, agri-fair, and live stock show at the capitol ground in celebration of the Kaamulan Festival. 

Kaamulan Festival is an ethnic cultural festival held annually in Malaybalay City, Bukidnon from the second half of February to March 10, the anniversary date of the foundation of Bukidnon as a province in 1917. It is held to celebrate the culture and tradition of the seven ethnic tribal groups—Bukidnon, Higaonon, Talaandig, Manobo, Matigsalug, Tigwahanon and Umayamnon— that originally inhabit the province.

Kaamulan comes from the Binukid word “amul” meaning to gather.Kaamulan is gathering for a purpose—a datuship ritual, a wedding ceremony, a thanksgiving festival during harvest time, a peace pact, or all of these together.

I remember way back in my childhood days, my grandmother used to join the street dancing competition and I was just amazed how she looks on her colorful native custom. My grandmother is a pure "Lumad" a native in my hometown and I also have that "nitibo" blood and in fact, I still know how to speak "binukid" on our native dialect. I am not ashamed where I came from because this is where I grew up with and I learned a lot from my humble and innocent beginnings out from my native clan and ancestors.

As you can see on the photos, it is so colorful to see the people dancing on the street reviving those old traditional dance and rituals of our ancestors. Kaamulan Festival is indeed a great gathering in celebrating the culture and tradition of the ethnic tribes of my hometown.

Our Life being a Free-Spirited Couple

                                    

Me and my hubby has been married for more than 5 years already and as a young couple, there is always been  the ups and downs, the happy and sad days of our lives that we experienced each and everyday. However, we had still able to manage and overcome this because of our free-spirited oneness of mind and heart.

I am more of an adventurous type, an outgoing kind who loves to travel and discover things that I like. I do have that flexible personality, an understanding heart and a patient attitude. While my hubby is somewhat opposite to me because he is more of a home buddy type. He just want to stay at home. He looks serious but deep inside he is a joker because he always make me smile when he tells his corny and funny jokes added with his outrageously funny moves and actions. He is the Jack of all trade. He possess a lot of skills and talents which I cannot do.

I am a stay at home mom and at the same an entrepreneur where we manage our own business together with my hubby. This is our primary household income and both of us are working together to make our business grow better just like our relationship that really grows stronger each and every day.

What makes us even more free-spirited? It's our passion for music. Me and my hubby are members of our music team here in our local church. We do have a church band where my hubby is the one playing the lead guitar and I am the singer/worship leader of our church. We do have a regular band practice every Saturday and we really enjoy each others company learning some new song to practice with, and tuning the chords and keys to blend and match with my voice to make it a perfect song when we play it for our Praise & Worship service of our church.

We are bind together in one free-spirited body and soul that is truly blessed and sealed with God's Love and Faithfulness.

My BridesMaid is now the Bride

 

My Bridesmaid cousins: Allen, Kristine & Jhoanne

I remember way back on my wedding 4 years ago where my 3 cousins namely Allen, Jhoanne and Kristine where my bridesmaids. I am so glad that time they where there for my wedding even if they where miles away from our place. These cousins of mine were my close friends because we not only cousins but we are classmates during our high school days.

A Very Touching and HeartWarming Poem from My Mom

I have this two little angels. For me they left their wings.

They have no idea how much happiness they truly bring.

They brighten up my days with their smiles and their laughter.

they help me to remember all the blessings that I have.

Their faces, it is so perfect, they're so sweet and soft and pure.

Sometimes they can be willful and sometimes they are demure.

They try their very hardest to please and do what's right.

Me & My Daughter's Shoe Story

My mother-in-law gave me this lovely pair of black high heels.Though I find it hard to walk on it because its 4 inches high and I am not used to wear such kind of shoes. But since I want to look elegant every Sunday when I go to church, I choose to wear it then and I usually paired it with a black skirt or blouse.

Just then, my 2 years old daughter who always love to wear my things and doing what I do specially on putting some lipstick, blush-on and my other make up stuffs. When she saw me wearing these black high heels, she grabbed it and excitedly wear it.

As you can see, she is modeling up my shoes. She loves it and she can even walk with it better than me!
