A Great Song & Movie To Watch & Reflect this Holy Week

Posted by Kayce at 9:45 PM 4 comments

I watched this movie "The Passion of the Christ" several times and it really breaks my heart and I cried seeing how Jesus suffered in pain, hurt and wounded because of our sins.

The Passion of The Christ which was directed by the award winning actor - director, Mel Gibson, this movie focuses on the last twelve hours of Jesus Christ. The film begins in the Garden of Gethsemane where Jesus has gone to pray after sitting the Last Supper. Jesus must resist the temptations of Satan. Betrayed by Judas Iscariot, Jesus is then arrested and taken within the city walls of Jerusalem where leaders of the Pharisees confront him with accusations of blasphemy and his trial results in a condemnation to His death. I encourage you my blogger friends to watch this movie and reflect on what God has done because of His great Love for us.

The song was from Hillsong and sung by Miriam Webster. These song is very touching and it makes us realize how we should thank God for His sufferings in dying of the cross for us.

Wordful Wednesday - Our Music Team's T-Shirt

Posted by Kayce at 1:59 AM 5 comments

Into the Hands of God Christian Fellowship is the name of our church. And we made a t-shirt print for our fellow members of the music team when we had  a healing crusade and concert where me and my fellow team lead the praise and worship service.

The lettering was designed by our fellow young people who has a talent in making some art lettering designs. I really love it! It looks great both in black and white t-shirt.

That's me and my daughter. I also made one for her. Isn't that cute?

Into the Hands was taken from the book of Luke Chapter 23 verse 46 which says "Jesus called out with a loud voice, "Father, INTO YOUR HANDS I commit my spirit." After He said this, He breathed His last.

Earth Hour Happened Earlier Here...Because We Had a Blackout!

Posted by Kayce at 9:20 AM 3 comments

Earth Hour 2010 happened today, Saturday 27 March at 8:30pm to 9:30pm and I had noticed in my neighborhood that nobody had turned off their lights including us.

Why? Oh its because we just had a power interruption happened here from 1pm to 6pm. Yesterday, we had also experienced blackout from 6pm to 10pm. We are still experiencing a power shortage here in our city and its more than 3 weeks already. This is due the shortage and low water level from all sources of bodies of water that produces hydro electric power. In short, we need some rain here!

Imagine we always have a power interruption here almost everyday that usually takes 5 hours a day. I personally believe we had helped Mother earth too much in helping to prevent Global warming.

Mommy Moments - It's a Hotta Hotta Summer!

Posted by Kayce at 6:02 AM 8 comments

mommy moments

It's summer time here! Yes We could really feel the hot and warm feeling! If only we could go the beach every day to smell the breeze of the wind and spend some time together with our family. What's our plans this summer? Well of course we will go outside more often since my Mom will be coming home this May to spend time with us and she will rent a house for 1 month which is located right beside the beach! Isn't that a perfect summer?

That's my mom with my daughter when she had her holiday last year

Tip: It's really nice to swim in the beach in the morning around 6 to 8 am

My daughter doesn't know how to swim yet so its a good thing she had her baby float

She loves the waves and the sand!
My daughter also loves swimming on her cutie inflatable pool

Well,  in my case I actually don't like swimming at the beach because I don't want to get dark. LOL! What I usually do when I am in the beach is I am just having some fun walking and writing something in the sand.

What I also love when I am in the beach? Taking some Pictures! And of course I am the model.... hahaha!

Jump Up! I love this one... A nice shot of me and my friend... Beach with a very nice view is just amazing!

Since I don't like swimming at the beach during daytime, I prefer night swimming! It feels refreshing and you could really have a good night sleep in it.

Me and My Daughter's Favorite Animated Movies of all Time!

Posted by Kayce at 3:28 AM 5 comments
Aside from my daughter's favorite educational learning videos and nursery rhymes, she also loves watching her favorite animated movies! And she really enjoys watching it all over again and I also can't resist in watching these movies since I also love it!

Here are some of our favorites:

Monsters Inc.  - Well it's not only my daughter' favorite but its one of my top picks also. These monsters really look cute and it has a very good and entertaining story.

The best way to describe this movie in one word is:  fun! "Monsters, Inc." is a movie you can easily fall in love with. It has some great fun character, some awesome moments and some well placed comical moments. "Monsters, Inc." is entertainment at its bests.

The story itself is pretty simple but thats what makes it easy to follow and so much fun to watch. The movie not only knows how to entertaining but also knows how and when to emote. The combination of fun and emotional things is perfectly balanced and placed within the movie.

There is some great dialog but the true power of "Monsters, Inc." are the wonderful characters. Not is there only a wild variety of strange and weird characters but also some characters that are good for some serious laughs and Boo is simply adorable and a pretty fair representation of a kid in real life. Well done Pixar!

Pure entertainment for the entire family!

Flushed Away - Me and my daughter really enjoyed this animated movie! It has Great characters in it! A great job done from Hugh Jackman and Kate Winslet. It has lots funny moments, with exciting boat chases. A Great family film and choice bits for the adults to enjoy as well. We also love the singing snails here. It's a Good family film indeed!

Cars -Ka Chow! Oh I love this movie too...  Me and my daughter doesn't get tired of watching this movie all over again.I loved all of the characters and I had that same fuzzy feeling that I got from all of the other Pixar films. The story is actually very touching and what I really dug was that the main character, Lightning McQueen, really makes a change from the beginning of the film to the end of it and realistically speaking, that's what a good story always has, a big change. I hated him at first and by the end, he really proves himself to be a stand up guy (car, whatever...). Car nuts will love it, adults will love it and I'm sure the kids are gonna eat this one up.

Toy Story 1 and 2 - We just love this movie! Toy Story is not only the best Disney film because it has the best story and the best animation, but also because of the excellent actors chosen to provide the voices of the animals. The casting was perfect from top to bottom, and the movie provides an excellent adventure story about friendship and loyalty that keeps you engrossed until the nail-biting climax.

Toy Story is by far the best Disney film ever made, it's pretty much perfect. It's adventurous, it's exciting, it's entertaining, it's good for the whole family, it's got great characters, story, and plot, and above all, it's fun.

Ratatouille - The chef rat! We just love the script and the story. The entire irony of the story -- a street rat with a passion for fine food -- is beautiful, and a tight, smart, and the wonderful script flows from this movie. Though its not that funny at all but it is indeed an animated masterpiece in true Pixar form with breathtaking animation and visual design.

Shark Tale - It's a fun to watch film that's why me my daughter also loves this one. With an all cast characters of Will Smith, Robert De Nero, Jack Black and Angelina Jolie, The animation is superb and the hidden story lines/jokes make a truly intriguing story.

'Oscar' is a character a lot of people may relate to, he is in a dead end job, wants to be a character and make people laugh and dreams of living in a far off land getting everything he wants, the film takes us on the ride of what it is like to get it all, and shows its not all we imagine it to be, the rich can be upset to, and again be dreamers, this time of the life they had left behind.

Totally worthy of a 'worth see' movie.

Open Season - My daughter really enjoyed this film as much as I did also. Its Very clean, which was surprising since Martin Lawrence was in it, but so worth the time I spent watching it. It breaks your heart when Beth has to leave Boog in the woods but to see him overcome all the obstacles thrown in his path, is very amusing from the eyes of an animal. Aston Kutcher was hilarious as Eliot. I didn't realize he could be so funny and amusing. This movie I highly recommend to anyone with children regardless of their ages, if you want to spend time with your children in a clean environment.

Shrek - Of course any body knows him! We prefer watching the 1st movie because its more fun and entertaining.

Eddie Murphy was, no doubt, the perfect actor for him. He is so funny, so unique, and so... fluffy. What a perfect donkey! His design is flawless and his dialogue perfect. I can find nothing bad about this character.

Shrek is perfect for everybody to see. Your  little ones will love the vivid colors and lush landscapes. The adults will enjoy this as well as the intelligent humor and deep plot.

Shrek is brilliant moviemaking. With a groundbreaking DVD, an all-star cast, great music, excellent graphics, and a great parodized yet original plot and storyline, Shrek is no doubt one of the best movies we've  ever seen.

Well that's it folks! I will be posting some more if we saw another new and entertaining animated films where we never gets tired of watching it all over again.

A 17 Year Old Girl has 7 Kids!

Posted by Kayce at 5:53 AM 3 comments

I was really shocked when I read this article about a 17 years old girl from Cordoba Province, northern Argentina who bore 7 kids in only 3 separate child births. Pamela Villaruel had his first son when she was 14 years old. The father of the kid refused the responsibilities and abandoned her.

Two years later she gave birth to her first triplets whose father was forced to leave the house for battering her. She and her kids were living in her parent’s living room and her parents help her raising the kids. Recently, she gave birth to another triplets whose father she refused to identify. Her mother Magdalena asked to perform ligation on Pamela to avoid another multiple births. But due to the young age, it is illegal and not allowed by Argentina laws.

I just can’t imagine how hard it is to raise 7 children at such a young age. Being a mom of one daughter, I had hard times balancing my time in managing my business, doing some household chores and taking care of her. It wasn’t a burden because it is my responsibility as a mother to raise my kid in a comfortable and decent way. But having seven kids is like 7 times the hardships. Pamela’s courage and commitment to raise these kids must be very strong. There are many women who would like to consider abortion but she was very passionate about her kids and raised them.

What's My SHOEs Today?

Posted by Kayce at 7:51 AM 0 comments
Here's another Seven Heaven On Earth of mine(SHOEs) for today. The things, places, events, items, and people in my life that I truly appreciate with and makes me feel happy, proud, and thankful for.

 1. Thank You Lord for the Rain! At last it rained here in our place for 2 days now. We had all been praying for the rain because we experienced more than 2 weeks of scheduled rotational brown out here in our city because of the low level of hydro electric source from falls and other bodies of water that generates the electricity here. Now we don't experience brown outs anymore. Our prayers has been answered and we are so thankful for God's mercy and grace.

2. Today is Sunday and its our Church Service. We never miss any Sundays because we want to spend time with the Lord in giving Him Thanks and Praises and of course in listening to His word. Look at our church, we don't have a church building, our floor is pure soil and we don't have a nice and comfortable seats but God is not looking on it. He is looking for a pure heart and sincere people who worships Him in spirit and in truth. And this is what I love about our church because we can always feel his Holy presence moving in each one of us. God is moving in such a powerful way in our lives and He used our Pastor who is a very young 22 years old who devoted his life to Christ. Since my mother-in-law who is our Senior Pastor  passed away last year, my brother-in-law who is our Youth Pastor continued the works of our Senior Pastor.

3. "Into the Hands Of God"  Christian Fellowship. That's the name of our church which we also used for our T-shirt prints. I really like this T-shirts which is designed by our young people who is a member of our church also. That's me and my daughter above and my daughter's solo shot. We had a concert healing crusade at that time where we used these lovely t-shirts as our music team's uniform.

4. Aside from being the Praise and Worship leader of our church, here's my other talent which is playing the base guitar. Though I only know a few basic chords but I am happy and proud of it!

5. Family of Musicians. Yes they are! That's my hubby at the right side playing the lead guitar, my brother-in-law who is our Pastor and also our drummer and my father-in-law at the left side who plays the base guitar and also our keyboardist. Aren't they multi- talented? I am very much proud of my them and I am happy to be a part of their Christian family.

 6. After our church service, we also also take our time to visit my mother-in-law in the cemetery. That's my brother-in-law, my daughter and my hubby from the pic above. We always want to remember her being the leader of our church and as a mother because we are so proud of her. And I know she is living happily now with the Lord.

7. Sunday Time is also our Family Time. We usually go to the mall, let our daughter play on her favorite fun rides, do some shopping and eat together. It's a fun day for us and we really enjoy and cherished it. Its a  happy family bonding indeed!

Well, this is my S.H.O.E.S. for today (Seven Heaven On Earth, seven things, events, places or whatever that I appreciate.) which is being treasured in my heart FOREVER.

Note:

This is my entry for an additional "Catch Up with Points" in Earthlingorgeous Blogversary Contest.
