So Excited for my Mom & Sis Holiday!

I went out yesterday to make a reservation of an apartment where my mom and my younger sister will stay in for their 1 month holiday. My mom loves to stay on this apartment that she used to rent every time she will have her holiday here because it is near the beach and she loves swimming at the beach every morning. 

They will arrive 2 weeks from now. I am so excited since its been a year that I haven't seen my mom and specially my younger sister because I haven't seen her for 13 years! She was only 6 years old when I first saw her and now she's already 19. She's a real grown up lady now and she's actually taller than me and my mom. She is a half swiss and half filipina. Well good thing she understands English so I don't have to worry talking to her but I think I have to wear some high heels here to reach her out. lol! 

It's gonna be a fun time and a great family bonding for us! I just can't wait to see them and my family too. 

Looking at the Sky on Friday - Gloomy Sky

I went out yesterday to make a reservation of an apartment for my Mom's holiday next month. My mom loves to stay in this apartment because it is near the beach.

Emergency & Rechargeable Lights

It's been more than a month already where we are experiencing the daily rotational brownout schedule here in our city. It's been our heavy burden because aside from the fact that our business was really affected, the hot weather is our main problem. It's really hot here in our place. 

And when the brownout schedule is during night time, we prefer using an Emergency Light rather than using a candle because it is more safe to use.There are several incidents of house fires here in our place due to the negligence of using a candle so its better to be safe than sorry.

I am also planning to buy a Rechargeable Fluorescent Tube as our additional lighting for our shop, kitchen and comfort room. The lightning is much better too because it has a while light in it.

Apartment to Stay on my Mom's Holiday

I just went out earlier to make a reservation for my mom's holiday next month. It is an apartment with complete facilities like 2 bedrooms, comfort room, sofa, dining set, with tv and dvd player, air conditioner, refrigerator and washing machine.

Every time my mom will be having her holiday, she always love to stay in this apartment  because the place overlooking at the beach and she loves swimming at the beach every morning.

The rent costs P 18,000 / $400 a month and she will be staying for one month. Their rates had increased but the price is worthy since we can bring other things and appliances like rice cooker, electric stove, laptop cause its free of charge for electric consumption.

This apartment was actually a few steps away from Apple Tree Resort and Hotel, which is one of the famous Beach Hotel here in Cagayan de Oro City.

Apple Tree Resort's lowest rate costs P 1,800 / $40 per day so for 1 month that would be P54,000 /  $1,200. You see? that's really expensive that's why mom prefers stay at Balan Compound's apartment in Opol, Misamis Oriental.

Battery Operated Fan

I am planning to buy a battery operated fan since everyday, we experience the rotational brownout schedule here in our city. It's really a burden for us specially when the schedule is in the afternoon and in the evening. It is so hot here in our place. Our sweat is really pouring out. The place where we live as well as our i-cafe shop is just in one house and it has no window in it. We are using 2 air conditioners and 2 electric fans but when brownout schedule comes, we can't use it.

I was looking online for some battery operated fans and I had seen this Variable Speed Minimax Fan which is a silent folding fan, durable and long running  in use. This fan uses 4 "D" batteries and is a little over 5" square.It would be better if I will check it out here in our local store if its also available.

Traveled for the 1st Time

I remember way back 3 years ago where me and hubby traveled for the 1st time in Manila and its our 1st time to ride in an airplane too. It was indeed a memorable experience for us.

We traveled to Manila to meet my mom there. She works in Switzerland and decided to have a 1 month vacation here in the Philippines. We usually meet her either in Cebu City or here in Cagayan de Oro. But at that time, she also wants us to see what Manila looks like that's why we went there.

I was 5 months pregnant at that time but my tummy is not so big that's why I don't have problems on it. Our first travel was sailing on ship with Superferry when we first arrive in Manila. It took around 2 days to finally reached Manila but it was fun since we met some new friends on board and we enjoyed the facilities and amenities of the ship.

When we arrived in Manila, I was adjusting on the temperature since its so very hot there. It feels like my skin is burning. We are also adjusting on our language since we speak Visayan and we have to speak Tagalog. We ride on a taxi and immediately went to NAIA to wait for my mom's arrival.

My mom's flight was delayed at that time and we waited several hours at the waiting area. Manila is just too hot. My sweat is pouring while waiting for my mom.

When my mom finally arrived, we went to a certain hotel in Ermita named Cherry Blossoms Hotel. We stayed there for almost 2 days.We went to Mall of Asia and it was our 1st time to see such a huge mall! We are actually still looking for the Map directory of the mall since we almost got lost there. We spent almost a day roaming around, eating and shopping.

That night, we went to Makati to stroll around while having some fun looking at those huge buildings,hotels,  restaurants, bars  and people around. There was still Baywalk at that time during the term of Mayor Lito Atienza and it was lined with brightly colored lamps and restaurants, bars, and open-air cafes, with live bands performing at night. It was really fun!

My mom bought a plane ticket for the 3 of us so we could go back home. And this is our 1st time to travel on air plane. My hubby is actually scared but he has nothing to do since it is the only way where we can  go home fast cause it only takes an hour to arrive in Cagayan de Oro.  I was actually excited since its my 1st time and I really enjoyed my flight with Philippine Air Lines.

It was indeed one of my most memorable and unforgettable experience and it is treasured in my heart forever.

I Need Some Bright Smile!

I admit I actually have a yellow teeth for several years now and its been my problem since I had tried Teeth Whitening Products, and Teeth Whitening Gels before but it did not work out for me.

My mom tried Teeth Bleaching before and it has a good results in it but it costs her around $500. That's very costly and I can't afford that.

Where's my Bluetooth?

I had captured some nice photos earlier when we traveled a few miles from the city earlier and I used my mobile phone since my digital camera was damaged. I was trying to transfer the photos using my mobile phones Bluetooth connectivity but when I was looking for the thin blue usb of my Bluetooth, I couldn't find it anywhere. I think my daughter played it. Oh my!

I think I have to buy again tomorrow since its only way where I can transfer my files from my mobile phone to my pc. The memory card slot of my phone doesn't work that's why I couldn't used it. 

I Need Some Disposable Contact Lenses

Lately, I am having some problems with my eyes because I can't clearly see some signs, banners and even some people from a far. I had a blurry vision while looking at it. I can only see them clearly if its near with me. Oh my! I am really experiencing a blurry vision.

I have a customized Computer Eyeglasses which has a special eyeglass coatings that reduces computer glare and it really did helped me a lot because I always go online all the time.

My only problem is that my daughter is trying to get my eyeglasses because she wants to try it out and wear it. It's very delicate since its breakable that's why I need some disposable contact lenses.

I chose the disposable ones because they are convenient and  there is no lens cleaning required and  no day-to-day accumulation of lens deposits. Also, because these lenses are not worn overnight, it can potentially have a  less risk of contact lens-related eye problems.

Me and my Mom were walking down the beach of our local beach here in Opol when we saw this Simply Wonderful clouds up above. It was around 5:30 pm while we are watching the sunset when my mom took this awesome shot.
